I decided to use the above title in the first draft of my trailer, after developing the title through making the recommended improvements from my audience. It fulfilled a common convention of having a mirrored effect which was used in multiple other films in the genre. For the first draft, it was useful to choose a title which correlated with a convention, allowing it to be a stronger part in the Homage stage of genre evolution (Steve Neal). Whilst it achieved the improvements made, when placed in the trailer it seemed out of place and not suited to be used in the mode of a trailer. This meant that a title which I would then choose to develop, also needed to be successfully used in previous films so that the convention was still fulfilled.
I then decided to use the title below and found that after the improvements were made it better suited being placed in a trailer and did correlate with the feedback of it looking "like it would actually be in a trailer". This title fulfilled the style of using a simplistic design to stop it from looking too busy and worked best against a black background, a convention found in most trailers.
One of the difficulties that I faced in developing my title, was the resolution effecting the quality of the image (which can be seen above in my first draft). Therefore, I decided to use Photoshop as a higher quality software, this allowed me to increase the resolution on the image and improve its appearance when appearing on a larger screen.
