Initial thoughts about the A2 Media coursework

For the main project, I have to create three products for a movie marketing campaign in the format of print and moving images. My initial thoughts on the project is that there is a large volume of work that needs to be done with a lot of planning needed in order to create a successful product. Furthermore, for the products to be successful the genre of the product needs to be chosen early on before development begins so that it does not change or become confused. The different products need carry the same narrative as well as follow the conventions that each format requires. I think that the more development that I do in the beginning of the project the easier it will make the tasks.

The preliminary project, is to create a one minute long narrative that includes varying shots and conventions. My initial thoughts are that the benefits of this project is that it will allow me to practice working with the equipment and software that will be used in the main project. It will act as a practice for devising a narrative that is suitable for the genre and works successfully.
